Our History
The Bulls of Durham began as a living history book project that blended 318 years of Durham’s history with the interviews of over 120 Durhamites who move and shape the city. The book was cocreated with the Bull City community for the community, and that set the precedence for how we do EVERYTHING here at The Bulls of Durham – with and for the community.Â
In creating the book, the data showed that entrepreneurship is the bloodline of Durham. It’s what brought Durham into being. It’s what brought the Bull back after every hardship. It’s what has attracted the rapid influx of newcomers and change.
With the book complete, we found ourselves with a robust community, a deep, data-backed knowledge of the city, and a compelling need to keep entrepreneurialism alive and diverse in Durham.
Today, The Bulls of Durham is a conduit that connects small business owners to each other, to opportunities, and to our incrediBULL community.
