The LGBTQ+ Youth Center within the LGBTQ Center of Durham serves youth ages 12-24 through programming, drop-in space, and events. The Youth Center is open to conversations with like minded organizations and educational spaces seeking a deeper understanding of the intersectional needs of queer youth.

Project FAM (Folks Aiming for More) prioritizes the needs of Transgender Womxn and Femmes of Color and all Queer and Trans BIPOC folks. We know that if we can uplift TWOC, FOC, and QTBIPOC, then we can successfully uplift all in our community.

The focus of housing and therapy services under Project FAM is to provide housing navigation, financial assistance, and mental health resources to LGBTQ+ adults in the Triangle in order to alleviate economic and social barriers to achieving stability and independence. We do not offer emergency housing services.
The focus of survivor services under Project FAM is to meet the needs of LGBTQ+ survivors of sexual and domestic violence with a survivor centered, intentional approach in order to fill the gaps in advocacy services available to LGBTQ+ survivors in the Triangle.

LGBTQIA+ Resources in Raleigh
Discussion Group designed to explore the experience(s) of being queer and disabled, and aimed towards building genuine support systems.
A group designed for HIV+ gay/bi men and their poz-friendly allies in the Triangle area. The purpose of the group is to foster support for one other by holding monthly meetings and an array of social activities. Meetings cover a variety of topics including disclosure, relationships, mental health, medical care, or whatever happens to be on your mind at that moment.
Triangle Autism Discussion Group
A group for people on the autism spectrum to come together and discuss their experiences. Both self-diagnosed and professionally diagnosed people are welcome, as are people who are questioning whether or not they might be on the spectrum. Every meeting will have a topic, such as special interests, developing social skills, sensory issues and how to deal with them, etc.
Triangle Queer Artist Collective
Collective compromising of teen and adult artists that hold regular meetings to connect and curate art within the company of other queer community members. On occasion this group will hold various artistic events open to he general public.
Group where male, male-ish, male-adjacent members of the LGBTQ+ community can play games, hold discussions, or just hang out. This is a safe space where your self-defined masculinity precedes any socially constructed measurement of what is and is not.
Youth & Young Adult Leadership Team
The Youth and Young Adult Leadership Team (YLT) is a group of selected youth ages 15-24 who plan and facilitate our youth/young adult programs. Team members are granted opportunities to partake in public speaking, community outreach, and leadership conferences.
In partnership with Current Wellness, Pride Flow Yoga is a monthly yoga class that’s lead by a local, queer instructor. All classes are free! Attendees can mingle after class at the Wellness Bar where they serve nonalcoholic beverages and snacks for purchase.
LGBT+ Mental Health Support Group
In partnership with NAMI Wake County and NAMI North Carolina, the LGBT+ Mental Health Support Group is a bi-monthly virtual space for LGBTQ+ folks navigating their mental health journey. This program is a peer lead, free and confidential.
In partnership with Alliance of AIDS Services – Carolina, HIV/STI testing occurs weekly on Monday evenings from 5pm – 7:45pm. It is completely free and confidential and appointments are not required. Testing services also include connection to resources, counseling, and direct links to care if needed.
The Center provides direct program services to the incredibly diverse community, including youth programs, SAGE Central North Carolina, HIV Testing and Counseling, and an amazing Transgender Initiative … just to name a few.
