Bull City, We Love Our Coffee. So here is a list of IncrediBULL Coffee Shops in town that you got to check out. Your Durham Explorer, Melissa, has gone to all of these locations and can not pick her favorite place. Each coffee shop is dearly loved and needed in our community. You can definitely feel the love these businesses have for us. Let me know what is your go to place to get a cup of coffee.

Beyu Caffe

Beyú Caffé is rooted in their love for coffee, community, and bringing people together to be yourself. Beyú Caffé believes that without community, it’s just coffee so they support local projects and created Beyu Food Project to address food insecurity. Bean Traders

More than just a coffee shop, Bean Traders serves high quality, local ingredients & creates a welcoming environment to host community events at no cost to help local non-profit groups. Their vibrant and open space was filled with people and employees who love coffee and great conversations. I had the cranberry orange muffin and loved every bite of it.

Cocoa Cinnamon 

Started with a bicycle, Cocoa Cinnamon is an independently owned and operated, quality, service, and heart-driven, Latina co-owned, women-forward, business of 3 brick and mortar locations here in Durham. Beloved by Durham and all across the country, Little Waves Coffee Roasters is roasted on a Loring S15 Falcon at our location in the Lakewood neighborhood. Cloche Coffee

Pronounced ‘cl-O-shh’ (with a hard ‘O’) and French for bell, a cloche is a bell-shaped glass covering placed over plants to protect them from frostbite and encourage their growth. Cloche Coffee is a giant cloche that harnesses good energy and inspires you to grow. Head over to Cloche to find great coffee with a side of inspiration.

Everlou Coffee Co.

EverLou Coffee Co is a woman led family business that provides a safe space, with great coffee, for everyone to enjoy. EverLou Coffee Co believes a community is built and sustained by sharing experiences together. It’s a chance to connect and create. Opened everyday from 7am-4pm, you can bring your friends, family, and dogs to cherish moments together around EverLou’s cup of coffee. 

Foster Street Coffee

Foster Street is a perfect blend to study, work, meet up, and relax all in Durham’s Central Park District. Foster Street Coffee offers catering for your events, and a meeting room open to first come or can be reserved just for $10 an hour. So if you are a student, bring your Student ID and enjoy 20% off your order on their Study Days so you can get your work done. 

Guglhupf Bakery, Cafe & Biergarten

Inspired by their German Roots, Guglhupf is an innovative Bakery, Cafe & Biergarten that allows the food to measure their hospitality to make sure you try everything. Since 1998, Guglhupf bakery has followed European baking methods to create their ever-changing selection of cookies, scones, muffins, and custom wedding cakes. Guglhupf Cafe & Biergarten eclectic, architecturally striking building and garden patio is the perfect backdrop to enjoy and celebrate together. 

Joe Van Gogh

For 30 years, Joe Van Gogh has founded and operated their own specialty coffee shops while also partnering to support hundreds of other businesses to provide the best products and services for their coffee business. Check out their limited edition Prismatic blend where $1 from every pour over purchase this month will be donated to our partners at Equality NC.

Liturgy Beverage Co

Liturgy Beverage is an open space where people can gather to share their rituals and habits over delicious drinks. Liturgy is approachable and ensures that each guest is served with the exact drink they are looking for. Their rotating menu is built around the seasons so check out what is coming this fall… mocktail anyone?

Monuts

Starting off on a tricycle, this donut stand turned into Monuts, a bustling counter-service restaurant and bakery with a full menu for breakfast, lunch, and donuts. What’s unique about Monuts is everything they sell is made from scratch, by-hand, with natural high quality ingredients, and no premade mixes or artificial flavoring. Monut’s commitment to good food, quality jobs, and regional economic development is proof of their integrity and commitment to supporting our community. 

New World Cafe

Just 1 Week Old, New World Cafe Durham is open and dedicated to serving you the best possible coffee. Using Black & White and CounterCulture roasters on their pour steady system, you can’t beat it. Head over to New World Cafe as they continue to blossom and grow their business here in Durham. 

People’s Coffee

Less Drama. More Coffee. People’s Coffee keeps its simplicity by using Black and White Coffee beans with a side of Smashed Waffles served all day. Using their signature waffle dough made from scratch, smashing it into their iron waffle press, to create sweet and savory waffle sandwiches. Can I have a That’s What Cheese Said please…

Parker and Otis

Parker and Otis is your one stop shop for everything, including coffee. Right at the heart of the American Tobacco Campus, Parker and Otis is the headquarters of their family brand that sells from their other businesses in town: Chet Miller, Tiny, and Parker Paper Company. Just park in the South Deck of the American Tobacco Parking Garage and you will need those 2 Free Hours to head over to Parker and Otis and try their coffee, fun candy options, and explore every unique and cute gift they have to offer.

A European Cafe with a Carolina Twist right here in downtown Durham.That inspiration is reflected in their high quality coffee & cocktail programs, an evolving scratch-made kitchen menu, and authentic hospitality. See the magic happen through their open kitchen of the espresso bar, cocktail bar, and crepe bar.

The Mad Hatters

The Mad Hatters Cafe and Bakeshop is located at the corner of Main and Broad which is a special place here in Durham. From the Erwin Mills Auditorium Baseball diamond, to the 1950s Phillips 66 service station, to the 1990s Broad Street Dinner, The Mad Hatters have continued the legacy of this corner of being a place for people to gather together. The Mad Hatters serves locally roasted Counter Culture coffee and Maple View Farm dairy and bakes delicious cakes. 

The Oak House

The Oak House is a craft beverage lounge in the heart of Downtown Durham. From Coffee to Wine, enjoy a nice beverage and treats as you listen to live music being played by local artist in town.

Triangle Coffee House

Triangle Coffee House is the place you want to go to drink, eat, study, and lounge. With 2 locations, 9th St and UHill, you can experience hand crafted coffee and no have to worry about the wifi password. 9th St location has the best lounge space to study while the Uhill location is bright and located with tons of amenities close by. 

Whisk & Rye

A Latin and Women Owned Business, Andy and Shelby created Whisk & Rye out of a desire to go back to the basics of creating baked goods that soothed the mind and introduce new flavors and pastries each season. As I enjoyed my Vanilla-Lime Pull Apart Pastries, I experienced families, college kids, and the elderly grab a sweet treat, coffee, and have genuine conversations with Andy and his team about how they were doing. Whisk & Rye is the first to have a Lunch Box/Mailbox Trailer in North Carolina and they are at the Northgate Park located at 300 W. Club Blvd on Wednesdays from 7:30am-11am and Sundays from 9am-12pm. Their main shop is located at 3401 University Dr Suite 5 and they are open Thursday-Friday 7am-3pm and Saturday 8am-3pm.
