The Week of 5/1/2023 in the BULLish Market

This week things are popping in the BULLish Market. Sheila here, Owner and Creative Director of The Bulls of Durham, and I’m officially BACK IN THE OFFICE for the 1st time since February 24th, 2023 – due to lack of childcare. My daughter turned two on Monday and started preschool this week. Childcare challenges are no joke for anyone right now, but it’s definitely trying for parents who own businesses – hence why I created the Parentprenuer space in the membership.

Highlight: Just posted $308,500 in fresh, small business grant opportunities in the Financial Opportunities Space.

Read the following twice and slowly: All existing members will be grandfathered into the current pricing of $39 a month or $390 a year THROUGH 2025. Anyone who joins on June 12th, 2023, or later will pay $49 a month or $490 a year. Thus and therefore, (I love saying that) anyone who joins between now and June 11th will snag the current pricing.

I wanted to remind you of member perks.

Job Listings

While we offer a free 2-sentence job listing inclusion in the biweekly “Who’s Hiring in Durham” series, BULLish Market Members get a FULL job listing as a blog, social media post, and inclusion in our weekly email – for free.

Ambassador Program

Did you know you can make your membership a source of revenue? For every person you refer to the BULLish Market *through the simple AF ambassador program,* you get a 40% kickback for as long as you’re both members. You don’t have to set anything up. It’s a 2-click process.

Example: You refer Bill BoBaggins. Bill BoBaggins joins on a monthly basis and stays for 10 years and you stays for 10 years. That’s $15.60 a month and comes out to $1872 over the course of 10 years. Math and friendship are so dope.

Refer 3 members, and your membership officially pays for itself and some extra. Plus, we have awesome rewards for 2, 10, and 25 members referred. Try it out!

Marketing Options

ONLY BULLish Market Members can market their goods and services on our platform. We have affordaBULL packages for marketing on our website, email list, and social media. Our latest offering is for food and beverage business owners to get the word out directly to the key foodies in our community.

Field Trips! #MamaOnTheLoose!

I’m beyond over the moon to be back in the office. My risk of heart attack is also greatly reduced. To anyone who can manage the stay-at-home-parent and business owner combo, I salute you and want whatever drug you got to make that possible.

I will be stopping by each of our members’ brick-and-mortars in the coming weeks and setting up coffee dates with our members without brick-and-mortars. Stay tuned for the sign-up schedule.

Please note: These will be brief getting-to-know-you chats, *not business consults.* If you’d like a business consultation, we can book and invoice you at another time.

Space Out!

This week take some time to check out each of the spaces within the BULLish Market Membership:

Financial Opportunities

Here we share grants, loans, venture capital, and other financial opportunities for small business owners.

Employer Wins & Woes

Need interview questions? We got ‘em here. You can also share your wins and woes in the world of employing others. Have a question about bringing on employees or sticky employee situations? Ask them here – no judgment.

Makers & Retailers

This is a space for those who make the things and want them sold on local shaves to collaborate with those that have the local shelf space.

Parentprenuers

This is a special space for those navigating the intersection of self-employment and entrepreneurship. It’s BYOW (bring your own wine), though.

Farm to Table

A space for farmers, booze makers, and other food + beverage makers to mingle with restaurant owners to create collaborations that decrease food waste, increase revenue, and, most importantly, put delicious food + beverages in my belly. I mean, in the bellies of the Triangle, NC.

Growth & Support Opportunities

This is our newest space. Member Tiffany Wiggins, Ph.D., kindly named the space for us. This space has opportunities to support you and your business growth that aren’t directly money.

Have the best weekend ever, yet,

Sheila
