Need Moola for Your Business? 2023 Crowdfunding Collab Opportunity.

We are opening one opportunity for crowdsourcing collaboration in 2023. You must be a BULLish Market Member to apply and be considered. If you’re not already a member, join now to get access to this opportunity and so much more. This is something we will look at.

The application is now open and closes March 10th, 2023, at the stroke of midnight.

The BULLish Market Membership connects small business owners in the Triangle, NC to each other, opportunities, and our BULLoved community for only $39 a month. Here are all the details.

Additionally, you must complete the crowdsourcing guide and workshop in the membership courses prior to applying. These are found in the crowdsourcing space in the membership and will help you be successful in raising capital for your dream.

An information session on this opportunity will this Thursday, February 23, at 11:30 AM. We’ll go over all the application questions, your questions, and helpful information. The information session will be IN the BULLish Market Membership.

Here’s an overview of the opportunity and what we’re looking for:

This is our fourth year hosting crowdsourcing collaborations. Since June 2020, we have helped raise over $50,000 for Black-owned, women-owned businesses.  Our crowdsourcing collaborations average 324% of their original goal. We’re extraordinarily proud of that and looking to build on that accomplishment by collaborating with another locally-owned business in 2023.

This opportunity is open to small business owners in the Triangle, NC, who are currently BULLish Market Members, registered with the state, have an EIN, and a business checking account. This opportunity is not open to franchises nor MLMs.

There are two parties in this collaboration:

  1. The Bulls of Durham, LLC. (TBOD)
  2. The Company We Collaborate with (collaborator)

How it works:

TBOD hosts the crowdsourcing campaign on our website – TheBullsOfDurham.com.

The money goes DIRECTLY to the collaborator’s business account that we’re raising money for. The Bulls of Durham never touches a contribution.

The collaborator receives every contribution in real-time. Buck all or nothing. IMPORTANT NOTE: The money raised is taxable revenue and will need to be reported in 2023 taxes. Maybe factor in a bookkeeper and accountant into the capital needed.

We use a WordPress extension to create the crowdsourcing campaign. Giving the campaign the look and feel of being on a big crowdsourcing website without the big fees they charge.

This year we will be upgrading to have the following features:

  • Accept cards via Stripe payment. Previously, PayPal was the only option. This greatly expands the contribution audience.
  • Give contributors the option to cover processing fees!!! That means the person contributing pays the PayPal or Stripe processing fee.

TBOD will charge a 3.5% service and hosting fee. This fee will not exceed $1500.

TBOD will help outline the work in all three stages of the crowdsourcing endeavor: pre-launch groundwork, launch + live campaign, and post-launch.

TBOD is the host and guide of the endeavor. It’s the collaborator’s endeavor. We will provide our support and expertise. The collaborator is ultimately responsible for following the plan of action and the success of the endeavor. It’s like we’re the restaurant you’re hosting your birthday party at. We’ll welcome your guests and provide everything you need for a great party. It’s on you to ensure folks show up and have the best time possiBULL.

As with any crowdsourcing endeavor, there is no guarantee of the desired outcome.

Clear is kind. Clear expectations.

A small business in the Triangle, NC, committed and brave enough to raise the funds they need to build the scalaBULL, sustainaBULL business of their dreams.

We’re looking for clarity – how much money do you need for what, and what will the impact of having that money be on your business?

We’re looking for business owners who speak from the heart with excitement about what they do and BULLief they will reach their goal with or without this opportunity.
